HELP MAKE THE BCF HAPPEN

The Brown County Fair relies on volunteers to help make the fair a success. Our Friends of the Fair volunteers assist with everything from set up, driving the kiddie train, directing concert goers, and so much more. We have multiple opportunities for you to get involved, depending on your interests and availability. Learn about each of the volunteer options below and complete the application form for each or free to call us (605) 626-7116 with any questions.

FRIENDS OF THE FAIR

Get involved with the set-up and break down of the fair, as well as activities during the fair. If you've ever wanted to cruise the fair sporting a BCF Volunteer t-shirt, this is your opportunity. Our Friends of the Fair are integral to success and typically work as many shifts as they would like the week before the fair, of the fair or after the fair. We need LOTS of these volunteers so grab your friends to become our friends and take part in the fun. Get started by clicking the button below and completing the form so that we can invite you to our Friends of the Fair Kick-Off meeting that typically takes place in late June or early July. - or

VOLUNTEER GROUP PROJECTS

If your business or service group is looking for a volunteer project we can use your help! Groups of volunteers are needed from July until early August to assist with set up, clean-up and other activities needed to get ready for the Brown County Fair. By providing a little information about your group size and interests we can pair you with a project (or two) that will be a big help to us. To assist in planning and scheduling we ask that you kindly connect with us before June 15th with your interest in helping out this year.

JOIN THE FAIR BOARD

Our board members are appointed and serve 1-2 three year terms. Fair board members help plan the Brown County Fair year-round through involvement on various committees. They also spend a great deal of time helping with set-up, break down and especially during the week of the fair. This volunteer opportunity involves the greatest level of commitment but also a high level of reward. Being a part of fair planning and all the behind-the-scenes activities is somewhere close to thrilling.

JOIN THE JUNIOR FAIR BOARD

If you are an outgoing teenager with an active interest in community involvement and take a special pride in the annual Brown County Fair, then we are looking for you!

Brown County Junior Fair Board members have the opportunity to learn about our fair and the fair industry, increase agriculture education to our guests, get involved with the community, participate in community service, expand your leadership skills and be involved with an amazing group of like-minded youth working to make our fair better each year.
